DESCRIPTION:Purpose: The Best Southwest Partnership Region has a wealth of talent in the area of Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts & Math.  In fact\, every single has made incredible investments in STEAM Education.  Unfortunately\, our students and educators are not always recognized for how well they are preparing for the needs of tomorrow\, today!  \n\n\n\nMembers of the BSWP are so enamored by the talent in the region we have developed the 2023 BSWP STEAM Showcase & Competition where our high schools in the region will compete to win $500-$5\,000 and bragging rights as the Best Southwest Partnership STEAM Champion!  \n\n\n\nRules: Each participating high school can bring up to 12 students to showcase up to 3 STEAM Disciplines (listed below). Schools may bring up to 5 students per competition. There will be three design competitions. Each school can also bring support students / staff. The maximum number of students / staff per school is 40\, Each school must pre register their showcase and competition teams by Jan 26\, 2024.\n\n\n\nEach school will be given a 10' wide x 10' deep booth and booths will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. Each booth will have an 8' table\, one surge protector and one trash can. All other extension cords must be provided by schools.\n\n\n\nSchool STEAM Disciplines can showcase\n\n	Drone Technology\n	Robotics\n	AV Graphic Design - need network access\n	Game Design\n	Biotechnology\n	Audio Engineering\n	Computer Coding - need network access\n	Esports\n\nSchool Competitions: Participate in single day competitions as a team. All items needed for competition will be provided at no cost to registered schools by the Best Southwest Partnership\, Esposure and/or HAKing Innovation. Students will showcase their skills of design\, teamwork\, coding\, and more. \n\n\n	3D Design Competition\n	E Sports Competition\n	Robotics Competition\n	Drone Racing Competition\n\nWinners:  The competition winners will be recognized and schools will be given scholarships to futher their programs. Students will win door prizes! These are the best and brightest of the Best Southwest Partnership!\n\n\n\nThe winners of the showcase will be rated on the following categories:\n\n	Creativity\n	Skills & Competencies\n	Practicality: How is their work applicable for real world applications\n	Workforce Ready: How well do the projects prepare students to be successful in the workforce\n	School Spirit\n\nJudges: Judges will be determined by the Best Southwest Partnership.
